Design, Advertise, and Sell Your Merchandise

Opportunities

Creative? Like money? Open a shop in minutes. For free. in this post, I will give you a quick rundown on how you can create custom merchandise and sell your merchandise online. It is a simple process and something you can do in your spare time to make money and when you sell merchandise online you can build your brand. Like this one I am working on, check out Groomy Dude.

RedBubble

A little info on the company that allows all this amazing stuff.

Redbubble was born in 2006 in Melbourne, Australia. The dream was simple. Give independent artists a meaningful new way to sell their creations. Today, they connect over 700,000 artists and designers across the planet with millions of passionate fans. A brave and dare we say, stylish new world of self-expression.

How It Works

  1. Creators build their designs: This can be done on many platforms, such as Visme, Canva, PhotoShop, and many more. I have an account with Visme and use them for creating flyers, ebooks, the designs I have used on RedBubble, and a few other projects. The selection of templates that are available goes way beyond what I use. Once you have your design you are ready to create your own merchandise.
  2. Open a shop: Go to RedBubble and sign up for your account, upload your design, and you are on your way to creating unique products they will produce, sell, and deliver for you. It really is that simple!
  3. Put your design on the products you choose: Once you have your shop and uploaded your design, they will lead you through the process of placing it on any of the 60 products they offer. You can edit the layout, resize the design to optimize the appearance, and pick and choose which products will be available.
  4. Get Paid: When you are setting up your shop, They will prompt you to enter your payment settings. You will have to have an active Paypal account or you can enter your banking info and the money you make will go straight to your bank account. It is a few short steps but you will need to have your information available to set up shop. They can’t pay you if they don’t have it.

Calling All Artists

Creative? Like money? Open a shop in minutes. For free. Just upload your art and designs and leave the rest to them. They arrange for all the printing on over 60 quality products and shipping to almost anywhere on earth. Ready? Let’s go!

Anyone can be an artist! Don’t think just because you can draw or have never created a painting that you are not an artist. Open your mind to things that you find adorable or funny and create a design with the templates the platform you use gives you. Then create custom merchandise.

Do some research, look up what people are purchasing. What is a hot topic that you could enjoy working on and making a creative phrase or image that people would like to own?

Advertise

Once you have all of this completed, it is proven that if you advertise your products and where to get them you will make many more sales. It is as simple as putting your stuff on a Facebook page or any social media for people to see. I have even made and printed flyers to pass around locally. if you have a website, as I do you could even set it up sort of like an eCommerce shop.

Any advertising you can do will increase the sale of your specific products!

Sell Your Merchandise Online

That is it! Once your shop is open and you have edited all of your products, it is time to sell. This is done through RedBubble already but if you want to increase sales and expand your bank account, it is up to you to promote your products and drive traffic to them.

This can be done in so many ways and it is affordable and easy to do. It won’t take up too much of your time and can if managed properly become a real income!

Some Of My Stuff

You may notice above, I have put in some of the items I have already started on RedBubble. You can click on any of the images I have placed on this page to purchase if there is something you would like to have or give to someone you think needs to have as a gift.

I have also put in some links for you to click on so you can set up your account and get started setting up your shop! Take a little time and check this out! It is a simple way to put some extra cash in your bank account!

If you would like to start your own website to sell on for free, fill out the form here and I will send you a checklist with 8 steps and you could have your site up today!

Here are some more examples of what I have created that anyone can purchase.

Thanks,

Chad

  1. Very insightful and you make it sound so simple, what’s the catch, lol? I am grateful that I came across this article and though that you could only really sell on Amazon or Ebay which I didn’t really want to do, so this company redbubble is something that sounds creative, versatile and great to manage and work through… I will definitely look through thoroughly, thank you!

    1. Hi Fara,

I thought the same thing, there really is no catch. I will say though like anything you wish to succeed, there is some effort involved. Because it is so simple, there is a lot of competition. You will have to advertise your products to get people to purchase them.
It is also easier to get an account than Amazon. This is what actually lead me to RedBubble.
Good luck with your creative products!

  2. What an awesome idea Chad and I love the idea that it is a company in Australia. I had heard of Redbubble and didn’t really understand how you can link with them to get your designs on products to sell. This will be so much fun. I often come up with quote ideas and think, there should be a t-shirt with this on. I had a chuckle at your bed slogan and I bet it sells heaps.

I’ve bookmarked this article to make enquiries to get started soon. Thanks

    1. Hi Lilly,

I was amazed at how simple it was to create the merchandise once the design was uploaded to RedBubble.
I had fun doing it too! I hope you are right, I could use a few sales!

      Thanks for commenting!

  3. RedBubble sounds a lot like Zazzle. I have used Zazzle in the past and still earn some passive income from the products I created. Having extra income from different sources is a wise thing to do. One of the things I like about this type of company is that you can create products that fit your niche. If you have a niche about horses – you can design t-shirts-mugs-etc using the theme of your niche. Is this company also available in the U.S? Thanks for sharing. I just checked your links to your products, and everything looks professional.

    1. Hello Sharon,

First to answer your question, yes. I reside in the US and have not had any trouble using this service.

I also would like to thank you for commenting. It is one of the things I like about this service is the design is totally yours. You make it what you enjoy an the rest is up to them. It has helped me with promoting my brand too. I have designed items with my logo just so I could purchase them to hand out as promotions.

There are several affordable products you can choose from and if you advertise you can make a decent amount of income.

      Thanks

      Chad
