Founded in 2005, Wealthy Affiliate is a training platform and community for marketers of all levels of experience. Within this 1.4 million strong community, you’ll find complete newbies, intermediate marketers, as well as veteran marketers who are making 6-figures monthly.

It typically takes about 3-5 months to make your first dime with WA. That’s because it’ll take some time for your websites to get rankings on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

You can choose from thousands of WordPress themes for your website. You can see in the image, there are almost 5000 in the popular category. There are many that are completely free but you will most likely get better results with web design if you install a paid theme.

Plugins

There are over 65,000 different plugins to enhance your site experience, and it could help you boost your rankings on Google. Just be careful on how many you install, this can also bog down your site speed and reduce your ranking on Google.

Boost your SEO rankings with site feedback and site comments!

You can request feedback for your site under the site feedback tab. It can be literally anything! From your website design to your blog content. Anything.

Doing this can really help to enhance visitor experience which will allow Google to give you better rankings.

Also, this is super powerful! Site comments! Having comments on your site is an indicator of engagements, and this is one of the primary SEO factors. You can simply drop your website URL in the site comment section and request comments.

Wealthy Affiliate helps you to “cheat” in a legal manner and have the upper hand over non-WA members.

However, before enjoying these privileges, you’ll first have to help and give feedback and comments. That’s because WA is a give before you take platform. It is designed in a pay-it-forward format. People helping people!

When you’ve done that, you’ll be awarded credits. And for every 2 credits accumulated, you can then request feedback and comments on your site.

Need affiliate products to promote? Search them up at WA

Don’t waste time searching for affiliate networks and programs on Google. Simply leverage Wealthy Affiliate’s platform. You can even select a product niche, and the relevant affiliate programs within that niche will show up. This would save you lots of time and effort.

For every premium member referred, you’ll earn a $23.50/month commission for as long as they’re an active member. For every premium member who goes yearly, you’ll earn a $235/year commission.

For every premium plus member referred, you’ll earn a $46.50/month commission. And if they opt to go yearly, you’ll earn $465/year in commissions.

Pros & Cons of WA

Alright. As much as I love Wealthy Affiliate, I have to say that it isn’t perfect either. It has its own share of pros and cons. So let’s jump right into them!

Cons of WA

• It can take months to make your first dime
• You’ll have to work very hard and not see results at first
• Some of the training is outdated (Talked to Kyle, platform update coming soon!)
• It is extremely overwhelming
• No refunds, just membership cancelation. You can quit any time.

Guys! This is just a very tiny percentage of the success that goes on in there! There’s just so much success going on in there! This is the real deal!

Common complaints

1) Content is outdated

True to some extent. Kyle regularly updates his training and the core strategies at WA are not at all outdated. They still work very well to this day. But yes, I agree that some of the training do need an overhaul.

Also, you can request updates if you feel that training needs updates.

Kyle has just announced there is an update coming to the OEC. And just because all of the information is available, even outdated, you can always access it for your own personal learning.

2) No refunds

Yes, this is true. If you cancel your membership, your monthly payments stop, but you won’t get the monthly payments you’ve invested back.

However, there is a disclaimer that refunds aren’t given before going premium. Also, you can never downgrade to a starter membership once you’ve gone premium.

3) Members don’t make money

True to some extent. Those who didn’t make a dime are the ones who gave up too quickly. It can take months to see results and they didn’t have the patience. Some are lucky and get results right away. I was not that fortunate. It took me about 6 months before I started making any money. Now that I have stuck with it and powered through, I am glad I did!

For those who persisted, they clearly reaped the fruits. And building this digital asset pays off big time!

Who is WA for?

Well, Wealthy Affiliate isn’t for everyone. The program is for people who

• Are newbie to expert marketers
• Want to build a long-term cash-flowing asset
• Are willing to persist despite not seeing results initially
• Are serious about building an online business

WA is NOT for those who,

• Need an income quickly
• Want a side income (too time-consuming)
• Aren’t willing to devote time and effort to the program
• Aren’t serious about building an online business
• Prefer to learn pay-per-click (PPC) advertising
